Flare-La-Mode Ace: Idols at Odds With Street Performance Law

A2poster1

Well I can honestly say that this is a first for our web site. We have had dating scandals ,Idol company suing its own group ,Idol company wanting to marry off its members and much more oddity.
Now we have Flare-La-Mode Ace to my knowledge the only Idol group to have charges filed on them for performing a street live.

This week Tokyo Metropolitan Police filed charges against the idol group for holding an illegal performance outside JR Shinjuku Station. Police charged the seven member group whose ages range from 18 to 26 and their 24 year old manager with violating the Road Traffic Act by holding a one-hour live concert before a live audience on the sidewalk in front of the South Exit of JR Shinjuku Station  this past August 13.

Police said that the Idol group whose theme is “idols from outer space” had caused pedestrian congestion events on nine different occasions.
When warned to stop the group`s manager said that the performances would not stop. With that bold statement Flare-La-Mode Ace kicked things into high gear until complaints of live performances creating pedestrian congestion forced the police to act with charges being filed on the group.

When questioned as to why the group was violating the law and not getting a permit to perform in other areas that do not cause traffic blockage , the girls said that high traffic areas such as train stations are vital for the group to sell CDs and to promote upcoming live house shows.
